Design Engineer

Job Summary
Review project specifications and apply them to design and fabrication drawings. Serve as the primary technical contact for clients, resolving problems and securing document approvals. Coordinate with Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Welding to gather necessary information for all technical activities. Perform and check design calculations, create pre-BOMs for long-lead materials, and modify fabrication drawings as required. Provide support to Purchasing and Manufacturing by answering technical questions and managing electronic job records. Bachelor of Science in Engineering required; proficiency in RCS, COMPRESS, or AutoCAD preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related technical field from an accredited university, or Associates degree + 2 years industry related experience, or 5 years directly related industry experience showing progression to competency of essential job functions
- Must be able to sit, lift, stand, push, and pull up to 20 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity of ASME VIII Div. 1 design & construction and industry standards preferred, but not required
- Proficiency in the following tools preferred, but not required: RCS or COMPRESS design software, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Products
