Job Summary
Develop electromechanical components and assemblies using CAD tools while meeting quality, schedule, and cost targets. Analyze requirements to create 3D implementation concepts and develop manufacturing-friendly design solutions that reuse existing parts. Coordinate interfaces with internal departments, suppliers, and customers, and assist in estimating development and manufacturing costs. Design and select standard or off-the-shelf parts, process product data in SAP PLM, and conduct engineering tests during development. Support procurement as a technical point of contact, participate in customer qualification and acceptance, and assist with bid preparation and series production ramp-up. Requires a Bachelor's in mechanical engineering, basic 3D CAD experience, and proficiency in SAP PLM. Based in Bremen, Germany, this full-time role involves worldwide travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, precision engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable field
- Basic design experience in mechanical or plant engineering
- Basic professional experience in 3D CAD design (preferably Siemens NX)
- Proficiency in SAP PLM
- Understanding of mechanical engineering, optics, and electrical engineering
- Proficiency in the areas of design, mechanics, and materials science
- Proficiency in MS Windows and MS Office applications
- Good written and spoken English and German skills
- Time- and cost-conscious work style
