Job Summary
Design new products and improvements while creating detailed engineering drawings and specifications. Select materials and components based on performance and cost requirements, applying Design for Manufacturability and Assembly principles. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in product design within a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD)
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, machining, sheet metal fabrication)
- Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical requirements into practical design solutions
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with CAD software beyond basic modeling, such as advanced surfacing or generative design
- Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) or computational fluid dynamics (CFD) for design validation
