Job Summary
Two Civil Engineering Interns in the BEDC IHD Civil Section will support Site Civil and Structural work from the Lefrak Office (Queens, NY). Responsibilities include preparing engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications for water supply and wastewater facilities; handling civil site development, water tunnels, pumping stations, and wastewater treatment systems; conducting field investigations, reviewing shop drawings, and processing change orders; aiding in project scheduling and coordinating with engineers and stakeholders; and documenting issues and resolutions.
Required Qualifications
- A baccalaureate degree in civil engineering from an accredited college. A degree in any other engineering area or in civil engineering technology is not acceptable.
- Permanent Civil Service status as a Civil Engineering Intern or having taken the DCAS Civil Service Exam for Civil Engineering Intern (Exam No. 6116) is required to apply.
Additional Requirements
- Motor Vehicle Driver’s License valid in the state of New York may be required for some assignment.
