Job Summary

Evaluate product requirements and constraints to develop technical specifications for mechanical products. Aid in identifying materials and processes that meet manufacturing cost targets while maintaining injection mold tool status and processing spreadsheets. Utilize CAD software and modeling tools to design manufacturing parts, conceptualize new products, and conduct simulations and prototype testing for safety and performance. Prepare technical documents detailing designs, instructions, and specifications for stakeholders. Assist with plastic processing on injection molders and perform other duties as assigned. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design and 7+ years of design experience with injection molded plastic products.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design (or similar degree)
  • 7+ plus years of design experience with injection molded plastic products
  • A basic understanding of injection molding principles
  • Proven project management experience from initial product planning and scope definition through delivery to customers
  • SolidWorks
  • Microsoft Office
  • Adobe Illustrator
