Job Summary
Design Engineer II for the New Product Development Refrigeration Design Team focused on developing new residential refrigeration products with emphasis on refrigeration and airflow systems, including technologies that support food preservation, energy efficiency, and overall performance. The role involves engineering refrigeration components and systems to meet regulatory and safety standards from project initiation through production, design of peripheral systems (water dispensing, icemaking, airflow delivery), evaluating design alternatives based on cost, quality, and performance, resolving issues related to energy regulations, safety, assembly, reliability, quality, fabrication, and testing, collaborating across engineering disciplines, testing performance and analyzing data, guiding lab technicians and designers to meet project goals, and creating and releasing engineering changes to execute design intent.
