Job Summary
Perform mechanical stress analysis, material selection, and gear design calculations using software tools to develop power tool solutions. Evaluate designs for cost, reliability, and manufacturability while participating in field research with professional users. Collaborate with manufacturing teams and global cross-functional members to troubleshoot issues, select components, and maintain project schedules. Independently develop test requests and facilitate technical meetings to drive disruptive innovations from conception to production.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 2+ years of experience in related design field
- Proficiency in GD&T and CAD
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- hands-on attitude
- Experience in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel and Power Point
- Willingness to learn skill sets outside primary discipline
- Ability to travel 10% of the time
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ year of design experience in a related industry
- Electro-Mechanical exposure
