Job Summary
Design Engineer II responsible for creating new and modifying engineering documentation, including SolidWorks 3D models and AutoCAD drawings for parts and assemblies. Tasks include evaluating specifications, drawings, and sales orders to produce an engineering package with drawings and bills of material; performing structural analysis; creating illustrations for manuals; coordinating with others to resolve design issues; designing custom parts for vocational-vehicle integration; supporting lean manufacturing and multiple projects independently; and mentoring other designers and engineers. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
- Three (3) years of experience with BSME; six (6) years with Associate in ME
- Three (3) years of experience in fabrication; truck body or up fit experience preferred
- Project Management experience desired
- Solid Works Certification preferred
