Design Engineer II

Job Summary
Design, develop, and validate aircraft structures, systems, and components using sound engineering principles. Create and maintain detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, specifications, and design documentation. Perform engineering analyses to evaluate performance, manufacturability, reliability, and cost effectiveness. Support prototype development, testing activities, and production implementation. Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Certification teams to resolve technical issues, part shortages, and improve product performance. Investigate design-related issues and develop corrective actions to support continuous improvement efforts. Maintain engineering records and configuration control within the Product Data Management (PDM) system. Prepare technical reports, engineering change documentation, and supporting analyses. Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations to stakeholders. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- 4–5 years of engineering experience in product design and development
- Minimum of 2 years of aerospace industry experience
- Proficiency with SolidWorks CAD software
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing processes
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team setting
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
