Job Summary
As a Design Engineer I in new product development, you will develop advanced mechanical concepts for electric motor applications, create 2D/3D Pro-E models, and perform structural FEA analysis. The role involves collaborating across functional groups to implement new technologies and initiatives for cost reduction and quality control. Key skills include 2/3D CAD modeling, problem-solving in motor design, and effective communication. Applicants ideally have 2 years of experience in the electric motors industry, but new graduates will also be considered.
Required Qualifications
- BS Mechanical Engineering
- 2 years related work experience in electric motors or similar industry preferred
- Aptitude for Pro/E 2/3D CAD solid modeling skills in supporting new and existing product designs
- Proficiency in fan, motor ventilation schemes and blower design
- Possess strong problem-solving skills with experience in fractional motor design and process
- Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills
