Job Summary

Develop component and system-level designs for new products, enhancements, and cost-reduction initiatives by creating 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, bills of materials, and related documentation. Perform engineering analysis, feasibility studies, prototype evaluations, and design validation to support product development from concept through production. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, sourcing, quality, and marketing to ensure designs meet performance, cost, durability, and safety requirements. Support prototype builds, testing, and troubleshooting while documenting findings and implementing design improvements. Research materials and manufacturing processes to enhance product performance and assist in resolving quality issues. Apply Design for Manufacturing and Assembly principles throughout the process and maintain compliance with engineering standards and PLM requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 0–3 years of engineering experience in product development, design engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related technical fields.
  • Experience using 3D CAD software for product design and engineering documentation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a team-oriented environment.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Creo or similar 3D CAD platforms.
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings, GD&T, BOM structures, and documentation control processes.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as sheet metal fabrication, welding, castings, machining, and plastics.
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems (e.g., PTC Windchill) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP).
  • Familiarity with DFMA principles, product testing, and continuous improvement methodologies.
