Design Engineer for Aluminium Building Systems (m/f/d)

Job Summary
Develop and design aluminium building systems for windows, doors, and façades, with a strong focus on safety-related requirements including fire protection, burglary resistance, and bullet resistance. Create 2D and 3D CAD models, technical drawings, and documentation while planning, supervising, and evaluating tests and approval processes. Ensure compliance with national and international standards by collaborating closely with internal departments, suppliers, and testing bodies. Continuously improve existing product platforms and provide technical support for product launches and system developments. Contribute to innovative, standards-compliant, and cost-effective solutions within an international team at a leading European supplier.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, Civil Engineering or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in the development and design of aluminium building systems, façade, window or door systems
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD and Inventor
- Good knowledge of relevant construction standards, regulations and safety requirements
- Good written and spoken German and English
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of fire protection, burglary resistance and/or bullet resistance is an advantage
