Job Summary
Prepare Traffic Impact Studies, conduct operations analyses using Highway Capacity Manual methodologies, and perform traffic forecasting for intersections and corridors. Design traffic control devices including signs, pavement markings, and temporary plans while establishing project schedule and budget adherence. Create technical reports and drawings primarily in AutoCAD, and perform field duties for data collection and device verification. Establish and monitor adherence to project schedule and budget. Provide coordination and follow-up to ensure quality standards, efficiency levels, and client satisfaction are maintained.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- 1-3 years' experience in traffic/transportation engineering
- Valid driver's license and ability to maintain and operate a personal and/or company vehicle
Desired Qualifications
- Emphasis in Traffic Engineering, Transportation Planning, and Highway Design courses
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT)
- Working knowledge of relevant software packages including: Synchro, HCS, MicroStation, Corsim, VISSIM
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Software including Word, Excel, Outlook and Project
- Familiar with AutoCAD
- Familiar with Maintenance and Protection of Traffic
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Motivating and positive personality with ability to grow with the company and contribute as business needs arise
- Independent and critical thinking abilities
- Self-starter who can work independently and with team members
