Job Summary
Prepare Traffic Impact Studies, conduct operations analyses using Highway Capacity Manual methodologies, and perform traffic forecasting for intersections and corridors. Design traffic control devices including signs, pavement markings, and temporary plans while establishing project schedules and budgets. Create technical reports and high-quality drawings using AutoCAD, and perform field duties for data collection and device verification. Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure quality standards and client satisfaction across transportation engineering projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- 1-3 years' experience in traffic/transportation engineering
- Valid driver's license and ability to maintain and operate a personal and/or company vehicle
Desired Qualifications
- Emphasis in Traffic Engineering, Transportation Planning, and Highway Design courses
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT)
- Working knowledge of relevant software packages including: Synchro, HCS, MicroStation, Corsim, VISSIM
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Software including Word, Excel, Outlook and Project
- Familiar with AutoCAD
- Familiar with Maintenance and Protection of Traffic
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Motivating and positive personality with ability to grow with the company and contribute as business needs arise
- Independent and critical thinking abilities
- Self-starter who can work independently and with team members
