Job Summary

Lead mechanical design and process engineering for recreational marine product lines by translating requirements into manufacturable solutions, defining production methods, and supporting hands-on assembly. Execute engineering change management, maintain accurate BOMs and work instructions, and provide real-time troubleshooting on the production floor for materials and tolerances. Create and maintain engineering drawings using GD&T standards while managing design data within PDM systems to ensure compliance with AS9100 Quality Management System. Evaluate manufacturing enhancements focused on quality, efficiency, and cost reduction, and support technical communication with suppliers. This role operates within an AS9100-certified environment and requires proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and mechanical design fundamentals.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • 1–3 years of engineering experience
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and drawing creation
  • Strong fundamentals in mechanical design and statics
  • GD&T (ASME Y14.5) standards
  • PDM systems
  • AS9100 Quality Management System

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain)
  • Experience with machined, cast, or forged metal components
  • Familiarity with marine propulsion hardware (rudders, struts, shafts, or couplings)
  • Hands-on experience defining manufacturing routers or work instructions
  • Exposure to AS9100 or ISO 9001 environments
