Job Summary
Conceive, prototype, and iterate new products by building functional prototypes and creative tooling that improve internal systems. Drive the design process with engineering teams to ship products to users, leveraging technical backgrounds to invent new features across mobile, web, AR, and AI platforms. Collaborate with product designers, user researchers, and leadership to test ideas, refine end products, and pitch concepts directly to the CEO. Lead cross-functional teams with product managers and engineers to polish and refine shipped experiences while adapting to evolving AI systems and rapid prototyping tools.
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent years of experience
- 6+ years of post-Bachelor's software development experience
- Master's degree in a technical field + 5+ year of post-grad software development experience
- PhD in a relevant technical field + 2+ years of post-grad software development experience
- Experience with iOS application development (Objective-C and/or Swift)
- 3+ years of experience driving product strategy and/or design decisions
- Knowledge and understanding of iOS software engineering principles
- Ability to know when it's fine to abandon first principles for a quick proof-of-concept
- Ability to rapidly prototype fully functional mobile experiences
- Ability to think at a high level about product strategy
- Creative problem solving and the ability to iterate on solutions for challenging problems
- Adaptability in learning and applying evolving AI systems and tools to remain at the forefront of design and engineering trends
- Work in an office 4+ days per week
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency with design and rapid prototyping software (e.g. AI, Figma, Sketch, Framer, Origami, Principle)
- A portfolio showcasing your work and strong mobile design skills
- Expertise in something like hardware, AI, 3D graphics, HCI, etc.
