Job Summary
Lead New Technology Introduction (NTI) or New Product Introduction (NPI) engineering support and manage Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) projects using Six Sigma DMAIC principles. Define program functional requirements, configure product price lists, and manage bill of materials to ensure cost targets are met. Guide L3 systems engineers on hardware design direction, conduct DFMEA's for validation, and lead design reviews with cross-functional audiences. Provide production factory build support, manage APQP/CTS, and resolve VDRA issues while maintaining robust product solutions through collaboration with application, validation, and customer service teams. This role supports the G3500 Engine Platform team at Lafayette Engine Center, manufacturing engines for mining trucks, tugboats, and industrial applications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree related to Engineering or Engineering Technology
- Knowledge of large gas and/or diesel engine operation
- Knowledge of Caterpillar programs and processes (NPI, CPI, NTI, NSI)
- This position requires a 5 day in office presence
- This position may require up to 10% travel
- Successful completion of a drug screen
