Design Engineer

Job Summary
Develop approval drawings, engineering documentation, and prototypes for single-use biopharma systems while ensuring assemblies meet customer performance criteria. Select subcomponents, engineer connections for temperature and pressure requirements, and develop test protocols to perform physical validations such as pressure and pull tests. Calculate product costs, maintain Bills of Materials and Method of Manufacturing in the ERP system, and organize validation packets for clients. Resolve customer complaints, contact vendors for industry solutions, and consult the production department on engineering issues. Travel to customer locations to support sales opportunities and participate in global engineering process development projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Biomedical Engineering
- 2-3 years of experience as a Design Engineer
- competency in developing drawings
- Good knowledge of MS Office (mainly Excel), AutoCAD and SolidWorks, or a similar software

- Experience working with piping/tubing systems
- Technical knowledge & understanding of P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams)
- Knowledge / experience working with engineering plastics & thermoelastic materials
- Knowledge of GD&T
- Knowledge of PDM Software
