Job Summary
The Design Engineer role involves creating and revising designs while ensuring successful product development and transfer to production. Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and have 4-7 years of related experience. Preferred qualifications include a Master's in a relevant field and experience with various engineering standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree (BS) or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school - Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering
- 4-7 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience in design engineering
- Understanding of and experience with engineering testing methods
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience and proficiency with technical writing; strong communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- MS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- Able to perform simulation using Solid Works or Matlab Simulink and validate with performance testing
- Experience with RTCA DO-160 and/or MIL-STD-810G environmental test standards
Additional Requirements
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
