Job Summary
As a Design Engineer, you will develop combines in the crop processing area while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include 3-D and 2-D design of parts and assemblies, creating production-quality drawings, participating in design reviews, and contributing to product validation and testing. Applicants should have a diploma or degree in mechanical engineering with 3–5 years of experience, familiarity with agricultural machinery, proficiency in modeling software, and strong problem-solving skills.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering
- Background in agricultural machinery and equipment
- Extensive experience in designing and developing sheet metal, castings, fabricated steel structures and mechanisms
- Skilled in drawing layouts and GD&T methodology
- Knowledge of material properties and manufacturing techniques
- Ability to justify design decisions with calculations and documentation
- Understanding of crop flow mechanics and finite element analysis
Desired Qualifications
- Proficient in ProE
- Familiarity with EPDM or similar tools
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to participate in field test activities
- Availability for occasional international travel
