Job Summary
Design Engineer 2 (Mechanical) at ACE Thermal Systems designs and engineers subcomponents for aerospace environmental control systems, developing product concepts, creating initial drawings and revisions, conducting testing in the R&D lab, and supporting product development from design through production and sustaining support. Responsibilities include documenting design changes, preparing design data for internal and customer design reviews, supporting DFX goals, developing and qualifying test plans and reports, coordinating with Business Development, Manufacturing and Quality, and communicating project status to stakeholders. Requires a B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, 2–4 years in environmental control system development, 3D modeling experience, SolidWorks or AutoDesk proficiency, on-site work in Seminole, OK, and ability to travel up to 5%. Familiarity with RTCA/DO-160 and STC processes is highly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
- 2–4 years of experience in development of environmental control, system components and systems
- Experience with 3D modeling and drawings for projects
- SolidWorks or AutoDesk experience, certification preferred
- Working knowledge of CAD design and analysis tools
- Able to work on-site in Seminole, OK
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 5% of the time
