Job Summary
Design, draft, and produce detailed drawings and models using AutoCAD & SolidWorks. Create and modify 3D models and assemblies, develop layouts, calculations, sketches, and diagrams, and perform calculations to determine design requirements. Analyse existing designs for improvement, conduct research on fabrication methods, and maintain accurate records of designs and processes. Work independently and within a team environment to read engineering drawings, solve problems, and meet deadlines. Salary range £32,000 - £38,000 DoE.
Required Qualifications
- HNC level
- experience in sheet metal design & fabrication
- Proficient in AutoCAD & SolidWorks
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- A good understanding of fabrication techniques
- An understanding of EMC and Rf
