Job Summary
Develop complex arrangements, complete layouts, and detailed drawings or sketches of complex designs with minimum supervision. Prepare complex solid models, proposal models, and drawings while checking the work of other drafters and assisting or directing lower classification staff. Coordinate drawing structures and material requisitions in SAP under engineering direction, liaise with departments and vendors, and assist in developing drafting standards and CAD enhancement tools. Perform related office duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- Some experience and knowledge required, 3 or more years of experience in a similar position
- Displays technical competence, must understand the objectives of professional staff but requires direction from engineers
- Requires accreditation from a technical school, Engineering Technologist, or equivalent
- Intermediate training and/or knowledge in drafting methods and GD&T
- Experience with 3D parametric CAD software and 2D drafting standards
