Job Summary
Design Drafter at Electric Machinery Company (WEG Electric Corp. division) in Minneapolis, MN will create and maintain designs, layouts, drawings, and specifications for motors, generators, and magnetic drives. Responsibilities include following internal and international standards, supporting customer orders from proposal through design, development, manufacturing, testing, and field service/aftermarket phases, and collaborating to share best design practices. Skills include proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office; knowledge of ISO 9001 documentation requirements; strong communication; ability to manage multiple priorities and projects with quantifiable bottom-line results.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years technical college, 2 years college pre-engineering, Drafting Certificate or equivalent
- 0 - 7 years’ experience building on the Detail and Layout Drafter
- Knowledge of documentation requirements of ISO 9001
- Proficient with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
- Self-starter, results-oriented, flexible, and team player
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills with internal and external customers
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively manage multiple, changing priorities and problem-solve simultaneously
- Demonstrated record of managing projects that produce quantifiable-bottom-line results
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing both internally and with customers
