Job Summary
Lead the design and development of kids footwear collections across kids fashion, athletic, casual, and licensed categories; set creative vision and product strategy, oversee end-to-end design from concept through commercialization; collaborate with Product Development, Merchandising, Sales, Sourcing, and Production; mentor design talent; present concepts to senior leadership and partners; ensure design integrity, timing, and cross-category coordination; requires 8–12+ years in footwear design, leadership experience, and strong proficiency in industry-standard tools; onsite NYC HQ with full-time schedule; salary $120k-$150k.
Required Qualifications
- 8–12+ years footwear design experience
- experience designing for major retailers (Walmart, Target, Kohl’s)
- proven experience leading footwear design teams
- strong understanding of kids consumer behavior and trends
- expertise in footwear construction, materials, fit, costing, development processes
- advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- experience creating tech packs and product documentation for global teams
- strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills
- ability to manage multiple categories in a fast-paced environment
