Job Summary
Strategic Design Director to lead and mentor the design function within dancker’s leadership team, guiding project execution, resource alignment, and delivery of high-quality, client-centered design work. Responsibilities include providing mentorship and coaching, instituting onboarding and development plans, managing projects and capacity via ZOHO, ensuring task tracking and utilization goals, driving process improvements and design thinking, fostering cross-department collaboration, supporting sales and business development with design expertise, and maintaining strong client relationships. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field, 10+ years in commercial furniture design with at least 5 in leadership, and proficiency with design software and PM tools (e.g., CET, AutoCAD, SketchUp, BlueBeam, ZOHO Projects).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in commercial furniture design, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor a team while meeting individual project responsibilities
