Job Summary
Develop fully resolved garment solutions through patterning, concept prototyping, and sewing to align with Arc'teryx design philosophies and product vision. Produce production-level garments and supporting documentation for scalable bulk manufacturing while collaborating with designers, pattern makers, and product developers on seasonal snow categories including Gore-Tex shells and down insulated layers. Build partial or complete prototypes for testing and validation, influence design standards for consistency across the line plan, and assess material suitability for various construction techniques. Support field and wear-test samples, respond to emerging design problems, and assist in onboarding new hires. This on-location role in North Vancouver requires a hands-on innovator with 4+ years of technical design experience, CAD patterning skills, and a passion for outdoor living.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Fashion Design, or the equivalent experience
- 4+ years' experience working in a technical design environment
- Previous pattern making experience
- CAD experience with Gerber
- Strong sewing, building, patterning and prototype making skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Illustrator
- Ability to pick up new computer applications quickly
- Proactive in identifying the root cause of issues
