Job Summary
Coordinate multidisciplinary design activities for structural, civil, and utilities projects to ensure alignment with scope, schedule, and budget. Facilitate design reviews, track progress against milestones, and manage interfaces between internal teams, external consultants, and construction partners. Prepare, review, and issue drawings, specifications, and technical documentation while controlling versions and meeting regulatory requirements. Act as a liaison between project teams to support RFIs, design clarifications, and change management during both design and construction phases. Identify design gaps, conflicts, and risks to support constructability reviews, value engineering, and escalation of mitigation strategies. Provide design input to project schedules, cost estimates, and progress reporting while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related discipline
- 3 - 5 years of experience within design-build, or construction-led project environments
- Experience supporting construction-phase design coordination and change management
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports
- Knowledge of design management and document control processes
- Working knowledge of infrastructure standards, codes, and regulatory requirement
Desired Qualifications
- EIT or P.Eng. equivalent designation preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, or similar design tools is an asset
