Job Summary
Lead civil/structural design, development, modification, evaluation, and constructability reviews of civil/structural components; collaborate with other engineering disciplines; prepare original designs/layouts/drawings/specifications for structures, buildings, roadways, and railways; utilize EDPS/BSAPs/DCCL/DRNs; design structures using static/dynamic analyses and various materials; originat and check deliverables like steel/concrete calculations, material requisitions; assist in cost estimates and installation/maintenance documentation; travel as required; advanced knowledge of Eurocodes and design standards; ongoing progress toward PE/Chartership; part-time telework with potential in-person attendance at the office/project location.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in a relevant field
- 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience
- Proven work experience emphasizing design of heavy industrial-type facilities/structures on engineering projects
- Familiar with Eurocodes and current codes of practice and design standards and regulations
- Willingness to travel in support of the project to client, supplier, business partner facilities or to site
- Progress toward obtaining Professional Engineering Registration or Chartership
- Ability to independently execute the detailed design drawings of structural/site systems of high complexity
- Thorough knowledge of engineering deliverables, such as drawings and specifications
