Job Summary
Greet store customers, support design walk-in needs, and schedule appointments for existing and potential clients. Provide advice on tile, wood, stone, and accessories for residential and commercial projects, then design and sell complete, functional, and aesthetically appealing solutions. Manage multiple simultaneous customer projects through all phases with high accuracy, timeliness, and follow-up, utilizing company communication tools and emails. Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation, achieve sales goals, and model best practices with employees. Use design applications including Salesforce and the Online Design Appointment Scheduler. Perform duties as assigned while working in a warehouse environment with moderate to noisy conditions. Requires medium physical exertion and occasional travel by car.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of retail/customer service experience
- High school diploma and or GED
- Proficient in basic mathematical skills
- Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite
- Internal candidates a minimum of 6 months with Floor and Decor
- Ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
- Ability to use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel
- Ability to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
