Job Summary
Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation for highway design-build projects. Lead multi-discipline engineering teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while managing client expectations and subcontractor relationships. Identify and mitigate project risks, oversee contract administration including change orders and claims, and implement quality control measures to ensure deliverables meet design and construction standards. Maintain strong relationships with construction clients and owner agencies across North Carolina and the southeastern United States. Requires a PE license in North Carolina and 10+ years of highway infrastructure design experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in highway infrastructure design
- Proven experience in design project management, preferably for design-build projects
- 5+ years of NCDOT DB experience
- Ability and commitment to be assigned to projects locally and across the southeastern U.S.
