Job Summary
Design Build Manager (Civil) leads integrated design-build teams on national projects, guiding partnered design firms and stakeholders to deliver design solutions on budget and on schedule. Responsibilities include leading design-review processes, shaping design deliverables and workflows, coordinating design packaging for subcontracting and permitting, organizing and leading design review and issue-resolution meetings, and participating in development of RFP/RFQ responses. The role requires interfacing with clients, designers, trade partners, cost managers, purchasing agents, and internal teams, with a focus on delivering compliant, high-quality design-build outcomes. The position emphasizes active site presence, safety compliance, and alignment with Clark Construction standards of excellence, including adaptability, accountability, and strong collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or graduate degree in a related field (e.g. Architecture, Construction, Engineering)
- 6 to 8+ years relevant work experience managing development and/or design to achieve pro-forma goals
- Experience managing staff and outside stakeholders
- Strong interest in Design-Build or CMAR delivery
- Strong knowledge of design and cost management principles and practices
- Clear understanding of integrated design and construction schedules
- Appreciation and understanding of architecture firms’ business model, design principles, and process
