Job Summary
Prepare conceptual and detailed electrical estimates for design-build projects, analyzing drawings and specifications to develop accurate cost projections. Collaborate with clients, engineers, and project teams during preconstruction phases to support budgeting, value engineering, and scope development. Evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing while identifying cost-saving opportunities and project risks early in the design phase. Assist in proposal development and client presentations, maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders. This role focuses on warehouse and tilt-wall construction across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex for a respected electrical contracting firm.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in electrical estimating
- Strong focus on design-build/conceptual estimating
- Proven experience estimating warehouse and tilt-wall construction projects
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, and materials
- Ability to interpret conceptual designs, drawings, and specifications
- 5+ years of relevant estimating experience
- Experience working on projects within the DFW metroplex
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Design-build environment experience
