Job Summary
Coordinate with all complimentary disciplines to supervise roadway and transit design tasks, including quality reviews and technical specification preparation. Manage project scope, schedule, and design while reviewing plans, contract documents, and estimates to ensure compliance with agreements and established budget restraints. Lead post-design construction tasks such as NDCs, FDCs, and RFIs, developing mitigation strategies to control design risk through construction. Conduct site visits and inspections to verify compliance with project requirements, mentor team members, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients by delivering customized solutions aligned with their objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of civil design and management experience
- PE in the State of Washington or ability to get reciprocity
- 5+ Years of experience on large Department of Transportation (DOT) projects
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proven capability to work dynamically and effectively in a collaborative environment
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for developing design and project management skills
- Commitment to delivering exceptional client service and exceeding expectations
- Must be available for Seattle or Tacoma, WA
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Desired Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of construction means, methods and techniques
- Familiarity with WSDOT Standard Plans and Standard Specifications and Design Manual
- Experience delivering alternative project delivery procurements for WSDOT, Sound Transit or other similar agencies
- Experience working with contractors who are active in the Puget Sound Region
