Design Associate

Design Associate provides technical, drafting, and administrative support to multiple landscape designers and architects in a collaborative, time-shared model. The position enhances team efficiency, maintains consistent documentation standards, and ensures clear communication across projects. Key duties include conducting site measurements and field verification, inputting and managing base plans, preparing and refining drawings from concept through construction documents, generating and modifying 3D models with CAD, executing redline revisions, developing organized drawings for estimating with clear specifications, maintaining graphic standards and file naming conventions, organizing digital project files with version control, and assisting with other duties as assigned. Education requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in landscape design, landscape architecture, or environmental design preferred, with Associate’s degree or comparable certification required. Experience expectations: 1-3 years in landscaping or horticulture, with 1 year residential landscape construction and 1 year landscape design preferred; proficiency in SketchUp and AutoCAD (LANDFX) preferred. Strong problem-solving, organization, communication, and MS Office/CAD/SketchUp skills are desired. Hours vary and may include weekends. A design portfolio must be uploaded to move forward.
