Job Summary
Design and Merchandising Lead will manage store design and merchandising initiatives for remodels and refresh projects, create vignettes and fixture placements, coordinate with Store Managers, develop remodel scope options and material lists, produce design documentation (tile boards, CAD plans, graphics), and oversee project execution with vendors and construction teams while mentoring the current role incumbent during maternity leave. The role requires balancing design, operations, and merchandising duties in a fast-paced retail environment, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver brand standards and a superior customer experience.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4-year degree in Interior Design or Architecture
- 4+ years of professional experience in retail, store planning (fixtures), or commercial design
- Kitchen and bath design experience a plus
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to evolving priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Self-motivated with a high level of accountability and attention to detail
- Creative problem solver with strong leadership and critical thinking skills
- Collaborative team player with a professional demeanor and ability to interact with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders
