Job Summary
Design and Construction System Engineer responsible for supporting VA/VHA SEP projects, applying healthcare facility and design standards, and coordinating across design and construction teams to ensure time, cost, and quality objectives. Key responsibilities include integrating multiple utility systems into operational units, applying VA design requirements and directives, addressing SHPO/NEPA procedures, and ensuring facility infrastructure meets MEP standards. Requires a Bachelor of Science in engineering (ABET) with 4+ years of relevant experience (or 8 years in healthcare facility and infrastructure design/construction); CCM/CHFM certification and PMP are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree from an ABET-accredited program and at least 4 years of relevant experience OR 8 years specialized healthcare facility and infrastructure design/construction experience
- CCM or CHFM certification preferred
- Licensed Engineer preferred
- PMP preferred
