Job Summary
Evaluate noise certification projects for aerospace products, determining compliance with ICAO and UK regulations through sampling of applicant data. Approve product changes and design modifications while maintaining and disseminating aircraft noise databases and Type Certificate Data Sheets. Establish policies for environmental limitations and engage with industry representatives to validate foreign certifying authorities' work and investigate UK Design Organisations' approvals. Provide expertise on product environmental protection and participate in global strategic discussions to ensure uniform worldwide certification standards. Act in accordance with CAA HR policies and contribute to a safety culture through objective risk assessments.
Required Qualifications
- Proven knowledge of certification in the domain of aircraft noise
- Sufficient experience to have achieved a level of Certification Signatory or Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) within Industry
- Expert and detailed knowledge of the functioning of aviation regulation gained through relevant experience within an Airworthiness Authority
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience in ICAO and UK regulations for aircraft and engine environmental protection
- Knowledge of noise certification specifications applied to aircraft
- Knowledge of related technical and administrative procedures for noise certification
- Knowledge of initial airworthiness procedures
- 5 years of residency in the UK
Desired Qualifications
- Industry experience with an equivalent qualification
- Proven aerospace experience, preferably working for an approved aerospace organisation
- An awareness of aircraft CO2 emissions standards
