Design and Analysis Engineer (Mid-Level or Senior)
$112,200–$151,800 year
On-siteBerkeley, Missouri, United States
Job Summary
Define system and interface requirements for multi-sensor fusion across IR and RF domains, and integrate onboard and offboard sources including datalinks and distributed sensors. Architect and document fusion solutions with block diagrams, data flows, and timing budgets; design, prototype, and evaluate algorithms for track association, state estimation, and bias estimation. Develop simulations, test plans, and lead lab/field verification while specifying data models, messaging formats, and coordinate-frame conventions. Integrate algorithms into real-time processors and embedded platforms, collaborating with SW/HW teams on optimization and deployment. Analyze failure modes, perform sensitivity studies, and specify fault detection behaviors. Produce technical documentation for design decisions and safety artifacts, communicating tradeoffs to leadership and customers. Own the algorithm lifecycle from requirements through maintenance, mentoring junior engineers and contributing to reusable standards.
