Job Summary
Receive assignments electronically and review inspection requirements. Schedule appointments with insured parties via phone, email, or text, then inspect properties for hazards in utilities, building systems, common areas, and life safety. Capture 20-35 photos, take measurements, and interview clients on operations and system ages. Communicate status online and complete detailed reports in the Loss Control 360 system using Rapid Sketch, including check-off questions, narratives, and digital photos. Submit completed reports electronically. Work as an independent contractor with a competitive flat fee of $65-$75 per case, traveling within a 50-mile radius. H&S Loss Control Inspections, Inc has served underwriters since 1970, providing direct support for order assignments and report queries.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified to work in the USA
- History of direct experience completing commercial line inspections
- Completed a training course such as the VIITA Basic Commercial Line Inspector course or its equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- 3-5 years' experience providing commercial insurance loss control inspections
- Understanding of commercial property and casualty lines: property, general liability, and worker's compensation
- Ability to work independently
