Job Summary
Conduct drilling fluid integrity maintenance and adjust chemicals per program needs while operating off the racking platform during pipe tripping. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment above the rig floor, including mud pumps, mixing hoppers, and hoses, ensuring proper installation and greasing of all systems. Manage escape buggy systems and support casing operations on stabbing boards or catwalks as required. Monitor environmental compliance, report spills immediately, and maintain accurate motor and spill champion logs. Work off-site in enclosed arctic rig environments during the Winter Exploration 2026–2027 season, starting October 2026.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to obtain or currently hold North Slope Training Cooperative card
- Minimum of one year's experience on a diesel electric rotary drilling rig
- Ability to operate hopper ad viscosity testing equipment
- Current Well Control Certificate at the Drilling Supervisor level
- Functional literacy (able to read, write, and perform basic math)
- Ability to withstand working at heights for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to complete a pre-employment drug screen and physical function assessment
- Ability to walk, bend, and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
