Job Summary
The Derrick Hand is essential in monitoring and maintaining procedures on the well servicing rig. Key responsibilities include performing inspections of safety equipment, assisting in rigging operations, and actively participating in safety meetings. Ideal candidates should have experience on a well servicing rig, knowledge of pump and tank operations, and capable communication skills, with the flexibility to work a dynamic schedule. Safety and cleanliness of the work site are paramount, and the Derrick Hand is also responsible for mentoring junior crew members.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year(s) of experience working on a well servicing rig preferred
- Must be familiar with pump and tank operations
- Must have a valid state issued driver’s license, CDL, or the ability to obtain one
- Must be able to successfully perform the duties of a floor hand
- Ability to perform manual labor required to operate well servicing equipment
- Ability to show knowledge of running tongs and all other equipment
- Competent communication skills
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
Desired Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of MS Office preferred
