Job Summary
Engage with utility clients to understand distributed energy resource impacts and align solutions with their business needs. Facilitate requirements gathering workshops, author solution diagrams, and define acceptance criteria for GE GridOS DERMS projects. Deploy solutions to client environments, prepare network models and forecasting data, and lead custom API or microservice development to integrate the product. Conduct factory and site acceptance testing, debug software issues, and automate workflows using scripting and existing documentation. Collaborate with development leads to ensure custom deliverables meet standards while responding to client inquiries and filing product tickets. Lead scenario simulations and present project outcomes to stakeholders, occasionally supporting pre-sales activities and technical demos.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a similar program, with a focus on power systems or relevant experience
- 7+ years relevant work experience
- Strong electricity industry knowledge
- Strong IT Enterprise Architecture skills including ITNW, Data Flow, and Complex SW Application deployments
- Ability to trace a requirement to a design specification and the test plans / cases
- Comfort with automating processes and utilizing or building scripting solutions to support product solutions
- Software development experience and a strong understanding of the SDLC and integrating custom solutions into a product, in our case the GE GridOS DERMS product
- Hands on Java, and Python enterprise application development Knowledge
- High familiarity with emerging energy industry trends and implications on utility clients in the area of DER management, distribution planning, IT, SCADA and asset management with a strong background in analysis
- Ability to get things done within project deadlines, and with strong focus on quality

Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree
- AWS Certification
- DevSecOps hands on experience
- Cybersecurity hands on experience
- Familiarity with cloud-based solutions and deployment activities (Azure and / or GCP)
- Utility integration experience (E.g. SCADA, ADMS, OT, OMS etc.)
- Experience with power system analysis software (eg OpenDSS, CYME, Powerfactory, Synergi etc.)
- Hands-On experience, with certification a plus, in deploying solution to the AWS cloud (GE's and / or the clients)
