Job Summary
Perform physical exams, record medical histories, and create patient care plans for residents in skilled nursing facilities. Order and analyze diagnostic tests, administer treatments, and diagnose health issues to share with the physician on call. Monitor medical equipment as needed while managing a diverse staff and client-base. Conduct 7-8 hours of visits daily, typically 9AM to 5PM, seeing 20-25 patients per visit. Compensation ranges from $35 to $40 per patient or $60 to $65 per hour. The MedServ Group provides medical malpractice insurance coverage.
Required Qualifications
- CNP/Certified Nurse Practitioner License
- Graduate of a state registered Nurse Practitioner Program OR is certified as a Nurse Practitioner by a National Association
- Dermatologist experience in a clinic, hospital, or nursing home
- Either a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) or Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Nurse Practitioner (N.P.) specializing in Dermatology from an approved university
- Experience using diagnostic techniques to identify diseases and implement appropriate treatments
- Experience managing a diverse staff and client-base
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
