Job Summary
Dermatology Nurse Practitioner needed for part-time role supporting elderly patients at The MedServ Group. Responsibilities include performing physical exams and patient observations, recording medical histories, creating and adapting patient care plans, ordering and analyzing diagnostic tests, monitoring and operating medical equipment, diagnosing health issues in collaboration with a physician, and administering medications and other treatments. Qualifications include licensed NP with dermatology experience in clinical, hospital, or nursing home settings; NP/DO/MD with dermatology training from an approved university; proficiency with diagnostic techniques and care planning; ability to communicate health information effectively to patients and colleagues; strong interpersonal skills with elderly patients; BCLS or ACLS and DEA registration. Schedule typically 9AM–5PM, 7–8 hours per day, 20–25 patients per visit. The organization covers medical malpractice insurance.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nurse Practitioner License (CNP)
- Graduate of a state registered Nurse Practitioner Program OR NP certification by a National Association
- Dermatology experience in a clinic, hospital, or nursing home
- DO or MD or NP specializing in Dermatology from an approved university
- Experience using diagnostic techniques to identify diseases and implement treatments
- Experience managing a diverse staff and client-base
- Effective communication with patients and colleagues
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- DEA license typically required for prescribing medications
