Job Summary
Dermatology Nurse Practitioner for a part-time role in Boca Raton, FL. Responsibilities include performing physical exams and patient observations, recording medical histories, creating and updating patient care plans, ordering and analyzing diagnostic tests, operating medical equipment as needed, diagnosing health issues, and administering medicines and treatments. Requires a Licensed Nurse Practitioner (CNP) with NP program graduate credentials, or MD/DO with dermatology specialization, and DEA. Must have BCLS or ACLS and DEA, with experience in dermatology within a clinic, hospital, or nursing home setting, and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with elderly patients and manage a diverse staff. Typical schedule is 9AM–5PM with 7–8 hours of patient visits plus paperwork; compensation ranges per patient ($35–$40) or per hour ($60–$65) with malpractice insurance provided.
Required Qualifications
- CNP/Certified Nurse Practitioner License
- Graduate of a state registered Nurse Practitioner Program OR NP certified by a National Association
- Dermatologist experience in a clinic, hospital, or nursing home
- Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) or Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Nurse Practitioner (N.P.) specializing in Dermatology from an approved university
- Experience using diagnostic techniques to identify diseases and implement appropriate treatments
- Experience managing a diverse staff and client-base
- Ability to communicate important health information effectively and compassionately
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with the elderly
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- DEA license
