Job Summary
Dermatology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant sought to provide comprehensive dermatology care in long-term care facilities. Responsibilities include assessing and diagnosing residents, treating skin conditions, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, performing skin biopsies and wound care, conducting screenings, and coordinating patient care with a healthcare team. Requires 6+ months of experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities, an active NP/PA/MD license, DEA license, CPR/BLS certification, and a Master’s Degree in Nursing with completion of an accredited NP program; EMR documentation (training provided) experience is preferred. Must be physically able to lift 20 pounds and stand/walk up to 6-8 hours per day.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license
- DEA License
- CPR BCLS/BLS certified
- Must hold a Master's Degree in Nursing
- Completed a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- A year of experience in Dermatology
