Job Summary
Assess, diagnose, and treat residents' physical and mental well-being, including skin conditions ranging from acute to chronic and benign to malignant. Conduct thorough patient assessments, perform screenings and skin evaluations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and conduct skin biopsies. Develop accurate diagnoses and treatment plans, prescribe medication, and administer treatments while providing wound care and skincare. Coordinate patient care within a collaborative team environment in Long Island. Requires full-time 4-day work week, 6-8 hours of standing, and lifting up to 20 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license
- DEA License
- CPR BCLS/BLS certified
- Must hold a Master's Degree in Nursing
- Completed a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- A year of experience in Dermatology
- Must have great organizational and time management skills
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
- Must be able to stand / walk / work on your feet up to 6-8 hours per day
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred experience in Documenting EMR (Sigma, Visual, PCC, etc.): training provided
