Job Summary
Executive Vice Chair of Dermatology at Mass General Brigham leads cross-cutting leadership across strategy, clinical operations, academic and research programs, quality, education, and finance. Reports to the Chair of Dermatology, partners with Division Chiefs and Vice Chairs, oversees clinical scheduling, resource allocation, inpatient/outpatient services, and physician/staff mentorship. Responsibilities span recruitment, academic promotion, research program growth, grants and philanthropy coordination, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and financial targets. Requires an MD/DO with board certification in dermatology, active clinical practice, and at least five years of dermatology experience with demonstrated leadership and academic accomplishments.
Required Qualifications
- M.D./D.O. degree; board certification in dermatology
- Active clinical practice
- Demonstrated clinical expertise, research and educational accomplishments, and a national/international reputation in dermatology
- Minimum of five years of clinical practice in dermatology
- Achieved academic rank of Associate Professor or above
- Effective organizational and communication skills
- Ability to mentor and develop others to support the academic mission
- Strong work ethic and program development
