Job Summary

Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment for a specified population. Prescribe medications, administer immunizations, and offer health and wellness advice on diet, activity, and disease prevention. Monitor patient progress, re-evaluate treatments, and explain procedures and results. Refer patients to specialists or relevant care components as needed. Manage daily operations of a specific medical program, patient care unit, or research function while directing nursing and support staff. Adhere to departmental policies, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Participate in health promotion, education, and prevention programs. Role model organizational values and maintain HIPAA compliance.

Required Qualifications

  • Board certification or eligibility in dermatology and/or dermatopathology
  • Medical doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
  • 3 to 5 years of directly related experience which may include residency in a directly related medical specialty
  • Federal DEA Certification: Medical Specialty License or Certification, Board Certified or Board eligible in Specified Area of Medical Specialty
  • HIPAA compliant
